This 483 km long itinerary crosses the Alps and demands an excellent physical condition, in order for you to enjoy the route and its wonders. It starts in Saint Margrethen and will lead you to the Pays d’ Appenzell and Glaris, to the Klausen mountain pass at 1948 meters of altitude. Then the route goes down to the central part of Switzerland, up to Glaubenbielenpass, goes from the Entlebuch and Emmental to Thoune and Fribourg. After the crossing of the Gruyère District and the Alpes vaudoises, it ends up in Aigle.
