EuroVelo 12 Guide, from Hamburg to the Danish border
This is the Germany-Denmark segment of the North Sea Cycle Route (EuroVelo 12). This route crosses seven European countries: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, and the Netherlands, with a total length of 6,000 km. You will cycle through the Schleswig-Holstein region (a German state bordering Denmark), from Hamburg to the Danish border and the town of Sylt, a distance of 370 km (excluding detours).
The road conditions and signage are excellent on this section of the route. You will cycle on dedicated cycle paths for almost the entire length of this segment.
