The Inn Cycle Route between Innsbruck and Passau
The tour connects Innsbruck with Upper Bavaria through the Inn Valley in Tyrol and then continues on the Lower Inn Discovery Trail to Passau, along the "green river" of the Alps.
The Inn tour was one of the first to be developed and attracts many cycling tourists every year thanks to its charming landscape, its wide range of cultural offerings and, of course, its culinary delights.
This second part of the Inn cycle tour totals 320 km from Innsbruck to Passau with variations and suggestions for excursions.
From Innsbruck to Passau, you will ride mostly on asphalt, sandy or gravel roads, and you will pass on dykes and riverside paths. You will rarely ride on roads with heavy traffic, and even if you do, these are very short stretches. Sometimes you will have to deal with hills, especially on the excursions out of the valley.
The sections Innsbruck - Rosenheim and Mühldorf - Passau are practically free of hills. On the rest of the tour, you will sometimes have to deal with slight or medium hills, more rarely with steep ones.
