This 305 km long route follows the course of the Aare from the glacial lake at the top of the Grimsel Pass to its meeting with the Rhine in Koblenz. After the breathtaking descent of the Grimsel Pass and the passage of the Aare Gorge, we follow the shores of Lakes Brienz and Thun, from where a magnificent view is offered to our eyes. Then the river accompanies us to Bern, the Bernese Seeland and further on winding paths through cultivated fields, forests, interesting towns and picturesque villages.
