Author:
Originally from Touraine and now living in Nice on the edge of the Southern Alps, Pierre Hérant has devoted his career to environmental protection and energy saving. Passionate about mountains, nature, travel and reading, he constantly merges these four passions in his writing. Although he recounts his cycling journey here, Pierre Hérant is also a pedestrian adventurer, having completed numerous treks and long hikes in France (crossing France from Nice to Mont Saint-Michel, crossing the entire Pyrenees...) and in various parts of the world (Nepalese and Indian Himalayas, Japan, Tassili, Reunion and La Palma islands...).
After completing a "small" 3700 km cyclocamping tour of France in 2020, in 2021 he set out on the longest possible tour of France, following the borders and coastlines as closely as possible.
