775 km Self-Supported Hike from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic on the High Pyrenean Route
Pierre Hérant crossed the Pyrenees from east to west, linking the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. He primarily followed the High Pyrenean Route (HRP). This route sometimes runs parallel to the GR10 and GR11 long-distance hiking trails, and a section is on the Spanish and Andorran sides. Our adventurer covered the 775 kilometers and 42,000 meters of elevation gain alone, self-supported, and without assistance. He shares the story of this exciting and awe-inspiring adventure. While it was an epic journey he had long dreamed of, its realization surpassed his expectations. The story is richly illustrated with photos and maps. The author also offers advice and points to avoid if you were to embark on a similar adventure.
