This guidebook retraces 365 km of cycling routes from the north to the south of Switzerland. The departure is from Basel. The route then takes you via Aarau, Lucerne, Gotthard, Bellinzona and Chiasso.
The North-South route in Switzerland is a transit route through the Swiss landscape of the Jura, the Plateau, Central Switzerland and the Alps. 

The route takes you along roads steeped in history, through numerous villages of historical and cultural interest. 

The Gotthard Pass is for the more athletic.
