Beginning cyclists often turn to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for their first cycling trip. Indeed, it is a region rich in cycling networks which includes a large part of the first fully marked and secured cycle route: the Vélodyssée.
New Aquitaine guides you through the Landes, along the canals, on the Atlantic coast to the passes of the Pyrenees!
Unmissable cycling routes
Among the great cycling routes in France, you can discover the Scandibérique, the Canal des Deux-Mers, the Vélo Francette and the Vélodyssée. The Flow Vélo runs along the Charente River to La Rochelle and the island of Aix, which are the region's must-see spots.
You can also do day trips in the Marais Poitevin, through the Landes forest or around the Bassin d'Arcachon.
